Review Policy

If you are an author or publisher and want to send me review copies, please send me an email at amy (dot) broadmoore (at) gmail (dot) com to receive the mailing address.

I review:

  • picture books — fiction and non-fiction
  • early readers
  • graphic novels

I occasionally review:

  • board books
  • early chapter books for 1st-3rd grade

I am on the lookout for excellent books to add to elementary school library collections, including nonfiction books to support elementary school curriculums, fiction books to motivate students to read for fun, and characters that reflect the diversity of elementary school students in our schools.

I review books published by independent and mainstream publishers. I do not review self-published books.

I only review titles that I want to enthusiastically recommend to parents, teachers and librarians. Thus, sending me a review copy is not a guarantee that your book will be reviewed on my blog.

Find 39 great children’s books by self-published authors at TheGittleList (dot) com. I get that you don’t want to open the floodgates, but there are many wonderful books by indie authors. I started this book competition (now in its fifth year) to find them.

“Whale Snow” the book from your Arctic list is by Debbie Edwardsen and illustrated by Annie Patterson. It is not by Annie Patterson, that is the correction you need to make
